Where Guilt Lies
We suffer sometimes
due to sharp shot words
sodden saturated words
exhorted urged in error.
Never forget pained victims
some such misdeeds
are launched closer to home
than we can often care
to own up to;
strangers are not alone
when it pettiness comes
to casting knuckle bone
evoking spiteful contention.
Yet another truth
in slanderous words
rings true to bone.
A grain of irritant truth
in spite spoken words
is a biting lesson heartfelt.
Such an instrumental lesson
should be meditated upon
errors resolved harmoniously.
Yet another truth we often conceive
a grain of truth in spite we perceive.
Where does original exhumed guilt lie?
Spite regenerates heartlessly resurgent!
