By Design
Why can't you just realize the fallacy of your design
That you can't control other people with your lyin'
With all of your hate, and your lust, and your greed
Why don't you see how you won't ever succeed
Railing away at the innocent souls
Cursing God with your tyranny and woes
Treating others as if they were fools
Saying we're all assholes when it's what you did choose
Using your energies to crack and destroy
Others around you as if they were all toys
The folly, the madness, the envy, the need
To hurt all around you until they simply bleed
The corruption of beauty with deception and lies
The misuse of affection to all that belies
Your motive for being just what you did chose
To create and violate with continuous abuse
Is it just the money or are you insane
To commit to such sadness your energies in vain
your legacy a millstone around your thin neck
So large that it dwarfs all, your life just a spec
As you drag it around all crippled and bruised
Arthritic with caustic illusions, this noose
Eventually, you'll hang like some prop by the shore
Just driftwood and tatters all you do adore
To all who do witness, a warning and a sign
Of what all will happen when you are so blind
To empathy, compassion, and a sense of self
To the debt notes of babel and the illusion of wealth
So if you continue, fail to recognize
The evil you've done with the bane of your life
And court with the ugly and the greed you do train
To support these illusions, so foul and profane
To proliferate and fabricate a world full of doubt
With twisted images of the world that you tout
Your soul as it shrivels in stagnant debris
Your lack of self value bereft of empathy
No root and no water to ever adorn
Your wretched composition, a life of self-scorn
Hanging in the hallway for all to purview
How the gift of this life could be wasted by you
Baring your signature and forgeries combined
All crippled and bloated, you rot by design
