Coagulated Emotions
Introspecting inner recesses
something seems amiss
Try as much disregarding
but one simply can't dismiss
Ravages of the past have
bequeathed, a perplexing stance
Unable I am to decipher
the uninvited current circumstance
As much I try suppurating vocally
but it gets stifled in the craw
Quip now is extricated from
my feeble attempts at a guffaw
Petty inconsequential traits of yore
have mutated to stringency thence
Compromises where are unacceptable
with no perching on the fence
