The Quizzical Heart of a Lover
Hear oh, hear oh, my dear lover;
your inner self speaks,
Hear my voice, hear me yell,
For i am distinct in you;
Your inner self can see you no more in quizzicalness.
Your inner self can see you no more incarcerated,
why do you choose to live mystically,
Don't you see how in supplication you live,
Yet you beseech when they don't hear,
Oh dear brother, I am your inner self,
You are besieged by this bewildered love,
Free yourself from the chains of bereft,
For I saw you waited too long,
For I saw you awake, countless nights, desolated.
Don't you see those lying eyes,
Why do you mortify oneself,
I can see no more dear brother,
Break away from these bondage,
For what seen is not love,
The path you walk deceives;
In a state of melancholia, dejected are you.
For you once loved and left, downcast,
Yet chose to be back again,
Dear brother, how i know uncorrupt is your love for her,
Yet she disgraces this love,
Don't you see it my dear brother,
Don't you see how concealed you are in it,
For I heard greatness of love,
But this I see is not love,
It engulfs, Placing you in a place of infinity of no return.
Dear brother stonewalled you are,
Why do you choose to break forth those walls,
Just to embrace cruel sadism,
Why do you not hear me,
Your love is great and pure,
Yet wrong headed, Turn back, hear my yell.
For if it was love,
No matter how long you waited,
I would not wail in pain,
I'am your second sight,
I shed tears to see you confound,
Cause in wilderness I see you cry,
Love never is cageful,
Imprison yourself no more,
Come back, oh dear brother,
For there is a love divine,
Godsend, awaiting in a yonder,
To embrace you forevermore.
Cry no more brother,
