Dream Dance

When you're fast asleep
The mind sneeks out, and around,
Wearing the moonlight
Like some ancient royal gown.
Soulful seekers and spiritual searchers
All invited here by the King of dreams,
Dancing and communing together
In the majesty of this becoming scene.
It's only the dreamy wishes of broken reality
Some, whose imaginations have died, will say,
Perhaps though, it is really a portent
The combination, and culmination of past and future days.
Dreams flow like flittering diamonds
Upon the nights sparkling river in the sky,
Old and new, the many and the few
All that have gone on, and yet to be
In the dreams of the night, dance... knowing they will never die.
The stars, and the milky way
Are the floor upon which we dance,
All the cosmos and spirits and time
With wonder watch, joyfully caught in a tender trance.
Music wraps around us
Like lace made of light,
As angels sing us into peaceful sleep...
This, our dream dances of the night.
