The World Has Had Enough Of My Words
THE WORLD HAS HAD ENOUGH OF MY WORDS
The world has had enough of my words.
It didn’t care for them much anyway.
Let others come and write
A few of them will have the power and beauty
I have not.
The world has had enough of my words
And if I go on writing them
Let it be in knowing silence
That dare not disturb.
Let others do what I never could.
Perhaps there is still for some
Salvation in words.
