The Poem Within Me This Morning Is A Quiet Poem
The poem within me this morning is a quiet poem
It does not have to rush anywhere
It can rest its eyes
By gazing calmly
at the yellow- green sunlight
on branches and leaves-
It can simply wait
And smile shyly at whatever strangers appear-
A quiet poem is its own justification
A life may be like this sometimes also-
Sit wait rest contemplate enjoy,
The whole world out there is a peaceful dream
One need not run to or away from.
