You, who I pined after for so long?
Whose eyes stunned me with light
that could have replaced a hundred suns?

Who kept my heart pace racing
with a longing unfulfilled until
I felt the arms of your embracing?

The one that promised me a love so rich
and rare and everlasting
where we both dreamed of horses laughing?

Who trusted me with secrets
and dark fears while you weren't near?
Who wasted hours with me as if
they were mere pennies
that could easily be regained?
