What A Difference A Day Makes
What a difference a day makes.
Now I can see.
That you and I,
Were never meant to be.
You voice all my faults.
Justify your own.
You don't cut me any slack.
Or throw me a bone.
Your pain justified,
Mine's but as lie.
You're as white as a lamb.
So I'll say goodbye.
Goodbye to your hatred.
Your vengeance and pride.
You hit me with all,
The pain you kept inside.
You told me you feared me.
Well I felt the same.
When I wanted solutions,
You wanted a game.
But I will not play,
Your cruel games anymore.
I wish that I never,
Played them before.
I share with you wisdom,
That enriches my soul.
You tell me my defects
It's taken it's toll.
“I owe you.”, you say.
So pay me my fee.
Give me all that I want,
And just let me be.
The once kiss of love,
Now kiss of death.
Taking all that I have,
And too my last breath.
I have so much to offer.
But not enough for you.
So I'll give my heart.
To one that knows it is true.
