Words and Reason

Words-stringed together in rhyme,
Simple melodies I have played
Or strings pulled from my own mind,
I see them again,
Behind the white-lined blackness
Of tomorrow's time

Delineated by day and hours
And each remaining
Between tow ends of a page,
Then, there is a beginning again,
A fresher place to play
An old tune refined

As if never heard before
And breaking through the barrier,
I resolved to try once more
To regain the reason,
For believing in today again,
A purpose that seemed secured
Only yesterday
