There Are Shadows
some nights
those colder ones
when i am alone in bed
watching the favorite show on the ceiling
of shadows
on an aircon musicale
listening to the comforting whispers
of the humming birds inside
my mind
i decided to fear
nothing
the shadows of my past are here again
my hands do not touch them
my hungry eyes feast on their
restlessness
my body and soul
all unaffected
after all the dead
cannot harm the living
even when they are
all sleeping....
