The Poet As A Thief

the poet travels from one stanza
to another
he utters the syllables like he chews
a bubble gum and then he puts
air and makes those
films and rainbows in the air

like a thief he is amazed by all these wonders
he takes some and discards some
and slowly he builds his own
bubble on top of another

he sees his face constructed from their own
and he feels this elation

i am from you and you and you
and you cannot deny me too
