Do Not Misinterpret My Silence
when we are in bed
after making love
i always feast on my own silence
not wanting to share it
with you and you begin to ask
if i am a still there
if i am lost somewhere in the thoughts
of another
and you touch my face
for my eyes to see you
the whole of you naked still
and desirable
and i have to tell you again
not to misinterpret my silence
as i still think of the
'fireworks' when you begin
to smile
when you kiss me again
