Love Sonnet 57 Oh crescent moon, hurry, be full again,

Oh crescent moon, hurry, be full again,
A dread to see you in diminished state,
My love conjures sweet memories in vain,
Might so, until your glow would reinstate;
Gardens would rile at blooms flaunted unseen,
The larks, their songs withheld in reticence,
Hearts beat slower, alone where tryst had been,
As did my own, throbbing in like cadence;
But should your face restore to bright fullness,
Lovers in penury of affection,
Though far apart, will join in sheer sweetness,
Recalled of nights bathed in your reflection;
..She looks at you, dear moon, from distant shores,
……Towards that spot she sees, my sight now soars.
