Love Sonnet 26 As we walk through life's many thoroughfares,

As we walk through life's many thoroughfares,
We soon find paths so rough, some traveled well,
While one stranger ignores, another cares,
Some foes flee, some friends from our graces fell;
One mystery is where the road would lead,
And wonder who awaits at journey's end,
Which of the turns is best where to proceed,
And if to some place else, it would extend;
We walk with hearts so stout, but legs so frail,
In countless slips, but rising from them all,
If in our very dreams, we often fail,
We hitch to hopes ethereal our call;
.....Should destiny hold nothing afterwards,
.....The trip itself should merit due regards.
