Love Sonnet 148 I Did Once Boast That Thousand Spears

I did once boast that thousand spears can't pierce,
This agile heart that flaunts its loveless bliss,
But now, as change infers, you did coerce,
Confused, by language of your touch and kiss:
Naive to deem, that speechless, I'd say more,
My chances drifted downstream with my luck;
A coward, I twice died before your door,
But thanks, the way towards is free of muck:
Yet soon, you became scarce, leaving no clues,
That left me gazing at a moonless sky;
Bring back my dawn, with all its vibrant hues,
Show me the sunset, and the reason why:
.......Winter coming, in ripeness it would bring,
.......Would easily surpass the joys of spring.
