Marie the Laureate
o' the laureate cried,
'oohh lala here is polonium
oohh lala here is radium'
she surmised, we can do more
than grow a geranium
the atomos is not indivisible
can we define impermissible
not allowed, not permissible
the sole winner of the prize
let's try this on for size-
marie curie- who found herself
isolating radioactive isotopes
looking through microscopes
a great top notch physicist
where is my lyricist
first woman to earn a nobel prize
in not just one but two sciences
would love to take you to dinner
the nobel prize chemistry winner
in the year nineteen eleven
born on november seven
congratulations marie
and happy birthday marie
did you know if a woman can do this
produce children and show you bliss
a woman can be president-
we have every right to represent
