Blowing on a Dandelion
I blew...
The dandelion fluttered
Then
broke...
Particles hovered
In the air around me
Floated off in directions
I could only dream of traveling to.
Perhaps one of them will land near you,
In your backyard
And plant itself there
And grow.
Like my love did for you
Then one day, you may see it
And decide
To make a wish.
I forgot to..
I just set it free.
Will you blow a whisper of wind
Gently set the tiny seeds free...
My heart still aches
Because you showed that kindness towards me.
Gently
You let me go
Set me free
From a place I thought
I would never leave.
