This Day Next Year
Remember this day next year,
My date with you.
Then I'll not see your face,
But that won't stop me
From thinking about you.
This day next year
I'll carry the note in my mind
I'll bear the pain of
Not seeing you again
For another long year
Or beyond, maybe forever.
But that won't stop me
From dreaming your face
As my own days rush into night…
This day next year,
Be sure I'll be there
With you in your memories!
