Screams unheard
Abused and broken
A little body convulsing with pain
Society to blame
Turning a blind eye
Too young to understand
Born on the wrong side of town
A future bleak
Youth incomplete
Tortured souls
Seeking comforts
With the wrong crowds
Heroes of tomorrow
High on substance abuse
Poverty stricken
Unlettered
Confused and misunderstood
A country, fast coming to her knees
