In The End
You worked at it so hard and long
To win me over with your song
Then, you just threw it all away
So, what happened to that yesterday?
It wasn't for real, just a game
But I fell for it just the same
Now you're singing that same old song
Even though you know it's all wrong
Maybe you want what's out of reach
That's one lesson I can now teach
You got me once and got me good
I'd take it all back if I could
So take your song and disappear
Or stay right here and live in fear
Cause I have plans for you my friend
And you won't like it in the end
