Better Than Gold
The day I walked out the door
With only the clothes I wore
I left you with all those things
You even had our two rings
I was down but not for long
I worked until I was strong
Soon I had more than before
But didn't flaunt it anymore
This time she had to love me
What I have she did not see
Until the day I was sure
That what's in her heart is pure
Then I'll open up and share
After all that's only fair
Then that day finally came
To show her what's in my name
She laughed so hard that she cried
I was soon to be surprised
When she showed me her accounts
I couldn't believe the amounts
The best part you will agree
We gave most to charity
Now, I live a simple life
Modest home, adoring wife
It's better to me than gold
True love is enough to hold
