The Passage of Time
How sad it is to see the petals fall
from a once magnificent flower.
Its time of beauty has slipped away,
but I remember its finest hour.
I’m sure I felt the earth shake
as each petal kissed the ground.
It’s sad to see the passage of time
cast its spell on all around.
