In The Derwent River

Don’t place my lifeless body in a box
and lay me in the cold, damp, ground,
so that in years to come they can dig me up
and move my bones around.

Place my body in a warm dark place
and ignite the walls of fire,
so my flesh and bones become ash and dust,
and I can be scattered where I desire.
