I’m A Man
Please don’t try to change me
I am the way that I am.
I’ve always been this way
I’m a full blooded man.
My mother was my master
and my father was my friend.
My brother was a scoundrel
but he’d never condescend.
I’ve climbed the highest mountains
and sailed the seven seas.
I’ve walked from France to China,
but still said thanks and please.
I respect the wise and aged
and listen to what people say.
I treat women with courtesy
and pray to God everyday.
So don’t try to change me
I like being my own man
and if you really love me
you’ll accept me as I am.
