Doubt Makes A Lousy Foundation.
If my doubts made way
for true love today.
Would you love me more
than you did before?
Would the sweetness of your kiss
be more difficult to resist,
and the passion you create
be better to contemplate?
Would your touch and caress
improve on my contentedness?
And your thoughtfulness and care
make me any more aware?
Would your technique in our love play
improve with every passing day?
Could there be even better times to come
than those we built our memories on?
After all the time given to thought
the down side is a positive naught.
So all lingering doubts have gone
and we’ve a love to build upon.
