Wreckage Of Yesterday

In the days when integrity and diligence
Is all that matters in man's world
When honesty and prudency means all to all
For one that is bankrupt of character and virtue
Is considered weightless and a societal chaff
When crime is punished and not neglected
Even if the offender is considered untouchable
When the fear of gods and elders
Rules both old and young
I just cannot stop wandering what went wrong
Those days disappeared into thin air
All we see now a days is the wreckage of those days
A big bang of compromise and pride was the cause
So sad there is none alive that has the skill to reassemble the wreck
