More Water

The time was rapidly drawing near,
We went below to dropp an insult
Of work and rapid strokes of luck.
The lapping of the waves below
Was invisible, as we came on
To each night underwater.
We slept tonight in the dark of Asia
That had waters and eyes of living.
This watered hole called the ocean
Gained height and weight as we went below.
In evidence was the heaven and hell
Of these waters, and these holes.
