Dragonfly and The Child Inside

Jumping into my kidney
Shaped swimming Pool,
In my girlish pink suit,
I let free the child inside,
In my fifties I was happy
With bubbles and waves
I created with my playful
Feet and kittenish hand,
Amidst my trying hard
To forget pain of betrayal
Of closest relative and friend,
A red dragonfly passed by,
And thought I,
of The Creative Creator,
Of His countless
Blessings and gifts,
One of which is appreciating
Beauty in all things around
Small and grand;
Stars, oceans, singing
Birds, roses and butterflies.

I began to pray,
Tears filled my eye,
All of a sudden,
As if the dragonfly
Understood what I said,
As if she felt the awe
She fetched many red dragonflies,
And after a while other dragonflies
With different colours and sizes
Were flying up and down,
Some plunged in a fearless manner
Into the warm water,
Some drowned while trying,
They came to share my prayers,
To be part of Nature's symphony
That praises Almighty,
What a symphony!
I felt the harmony between all
Creatures except Man,
Flowers insects, singing
Birds, and plants,
The symphony and their jocund
Company erased my
Many disappointments,
Sadness and pain.
