You Were
You were the person I think of,
When I wanted to give up.
You were the person I think of,
When my life was getting rough.
Though you were always there,
When I needed somebody to care.
Never giving up,
When days were tough.
You always spoke from the heart,
Just to say how you felt.
Made me realize I could do more,
To change my ways in living.
You gave me the stenght to be,
The person I am,
Not a day go by that I wondered,
If you be there for me,
I always knew in my heart,
That you be there,
To help me through with life,
I'm so thankful to have you in my life,
I still don't know what I would of done,
Without your love and support,
You showed me that it okay to be me,
At times when I didn't care,
You always gave me reasons to,
Nothing have been the same ever since,
Mainly because I'm a new girl,
I know my mom would be proud,
Of what i've became,
But most of all she would be thankful,
Of what you have done,
To help her little girl through,
All of the hurt and pain,
That came along with giving her up.
