There's Nothing One Can Say Against Goodbye
i never knew it would be like this
a certain always or a deja vue
seen too many times but hurts just the same
i keep saying it's ok
and it is it really is
'cos one cannot make anybody
anybody stay
and there's nothing one can do
against goodbye
i live, you know, at the joints
in the pack of cards towers
that turn down too easily i know
i have never learned to build solidly
i know it all serves me right
my fault is sort of my way of the world
and it's ok

a certain heart always a deja vue
hit too many times but beats just the same

or my first or last times
