My Summer Wine… by Meena Mustafa

Press the grapes and let it pour

Let my wild imagination explore

The rosy flush, beneath the tree

As I sip in harmony.

Slender neck all green and gold

I lift the glass and see it pour

Name it 'Sherry' or call it 'Port'

The feeling so great as it runs down your throat.

Inhibitions lost, thoughts surrender

Makes me intoxicated and I just wander

Lonely as a cloud or rough as the sea

Wish people are sincere and honest like me
