My Love Is As The Sky
My love is as a river; you, its course-
Follow its bank and discover its source-
Realize that its start is also its destination-
Its flow is divinely-proffered inspiration!
My love is as a mountain; you, its summit;
At its height, my soul is rarified, so as to numb it;
My mind is unclouded; my thoughts, unfettered;
My heart is enamored; my life, ever bettered.
My love is as the sky: beautiful and vast.
Such is the dream, such is my ardor;
Both are the same, as both thou hast-
Neither of which I could hope to barter;
Both of which seem so very sure to last-
Differentiation betwixt them, ever harder!
