Just love me from afar,
See how I flourish
Too up, close and personal
I have seen it perish,
Turn to contempt.
Any attempt to
Resurrect
What once was
Is like chasing a mirage…
Just gently drizzle
Like a gentle shower.
Like the wind that
Tousles my hair
And then goes on
Barely touching me
Flirting, with me,
Making me happy.
Keeps the
Ardour vibrant and alive.
Don’t burst as a torrent
And soak me wet
To the depth of my being.
It’s just spent
At that moment in time.
I just want a drizzle
From time to time,
Why, you look puzzled
All I am asking
Is taking your time,
And giving us
A chance at love…
