Today
Today I received your letter of good- bye
Today is the first day I started to cry.
Today I remembered the things of the past
And I always thought that our love would last.
This is something I must live with every day
What did I do? What did I say?
Today I said a prayer
Today I saw a vision of you standing there.
I saw the smile on your face
I felt your tender embrace.
I felt my life had come to an end
And so! I ’ll accept you as a friend
