Tears
here i sit with tears in my eyes
asking myself what happened
and wondering why.
my heart is broken
and i feel empty inside
what did i do
why did you lie.
you said you loved me
and that wasn't true
you just used me as you intended to.
so many tears i have shed
and loosing my love you will dread.
for a love like mine is hard to find.
i had loved you body and soul
and each day, more love would unfold.
i'll pick myself up and get back on track
and i'll forget you, there'll be no turning back.
so live your life as you think you should
i'll do better, i know i could.
these are the only tears
from me you will see.
because from this day forward
' i'll be free '.
