Complete
is this moment's
hush
let's not stir or move
least it whiff away
dissolving
one of us from the dream..
Complete
is this moment
next
when a hand
reaches out to test
fearful
that if
no hand
responds
the dream theory
is confirmed
and I'll
lie awake
on my bed
again
incomplete.
I hold my hand
motionless
not wanting to risk
dreams and hopes
on a finger-tip touch.
But indecision
was overcome
as I felt
a soft brush-
no dream this;
last night
did happen
and was happening
because I can
hear
you
breathe,
stir
and roll
toward me.
