Child Poets
She, little girl dancing
with heart-red shoes
laughing.
She smiled
a tinker-bell smile
which
cozied up to
warm your insides;
teaching you how to skip
and sand play;
to learn again how to
use a shovel and pail,
see fairies in the woodsy leaves,
magic and delight
in words and play.
Children are natural poets;
they Dream
so easily.
