The Joys Of Thanksgiving
This day in November,
Special and remembered...
By many who are grateful to celebrate,
The joys of Thanksgiving.
With preparations made to express,
An appreciation.
In prayer and with faith to commensurate,
A gathering with family members and friends...
On this occasion,
To eat and feast upon past memories shared.
As an awareness of those many blessings given...
Seem to us to have more of a meaning as we reflect.
When the experience of witnessing...
Many moons and seasons come to pass,
To allow us yet another chance to embrace and grasp...
The importance of each other's presence.
And our fortunate lives we can so easily take for granted.
