A Punch In The Heart
A punch in the heart
From the start
He bought her part
In herself, in society.
He took years off her life, returning pain in rife
Can she ever tell him, 'How can I ever return your kindness? '
If she ever did, it would be something short of madness.
Perhaps it is in the gifts he did not give.
It is deduced, in as many languages as the French state-
'au revoir' means goodbye
And he left no massacre, a moment shy of her cry.
