Begonias
Relish the colors of the sun
Supple blue constant of life
Prayers fly like gracious eagles
Here in the ground of my heart I cry
Waiting for a full bloom of joy
Another alcoholic dies alone
Smoke filled room
Emptiness
Scrambled notes with drunken sighs
Nothing I can do to change someone else
Have you seen the sea with spring eyes?
Flowing like angels wings
Sometimes I feel I will never heal
Do you feel the caverns of soul?
The loss of youth, dreams, family
Some just get a face-lift
Some pretend to the bitter end
A daughter commits suicide
Broken parents
They don’t visit the nursing home anymore
He shrivels up after the divorce
Dying alone of cancer with a foreclosed house
Geese on the river like lofty hope
The begonias grow like heaven
