Sunshine Shivers 1922
Sunshine shivers, beam dreams trembling,
rays no longer play dissembling
game as aim, attention drawn
elsewhere, prepares destruction's dawn.
Thought coherent tries assembling
last will codicil, remembering
fractal flashback frames, must mourn
rash behaviour, cash withdrawn.
Hope's embers' snuffed, tough luck dismembering,
past's grasp with last gasp sucked Septembering,
disappointments multiform
pointless pages from life torn.
Ambitions rotten, faith forgotten,
tattered scarecrow, shroud of cotton.
