The Alcoholic Gives in to Temptation
It's very, very nice
To give in to a vice!
I hadn't had a drink for seven weeks
And then I got pissed.
Now I knew what I'd missed!
Do I have to feel sorry,
To fret and to worry?
How very tight-arsed!
Now my terrible crime
Is captured in rhyme,
Alcoholic remorse
Imprisoned in verse!
And the whole damn thing could be a great deal worse!
