Puzzled
Today - We went out together again.
Delights of the week.
Are these times few.
Which you share with me anew.
Rare, like diamonds.
Are the occasions.
When we meet and talk.
My sweet friend.
But these moments I cherish.
Deep within my heart.
These jewels of time.
Well spent.
For each moment of being with you.
Gives me strength.
Comfort and happiness.
To face - Yet another day.
Of loneliness.
Uncertainty and doubt.
We are just friends, I know.
Perhaps there is no other way.
This I accept.
Although it bothers me.
For I care for you.
More than I dare to admit.
As I fear.
Of losing you.
Your company.
Friendship and charm.
Because I know.
That my love for you.
Will last.
Now and into the future.
So I decided to endure.
To cope, enjoy.
The time you spend.
With me and hope.
For a chance, to see you once again.
Tomorrow, possibly weeks from now.
It matters not.
When, where or how.
