Still Slipping Away
Ships leaving the
port
destined for
foreign waters,
fearful to tread
unknown territory.
Confidence
slipping away.
A lovely blossom
in full bloom,
heat scorching
the petals
lets go of the
stem.
Gradually
slipping away.
A true love
once flourished,
in the passion
of the sun,
cools with the
evening breeze.
Emotions
slipping away.
