Slipping Away
ships leaving the
port
destined for
foreign waters
fearful to tread
unknown territory
confidence
slipping away
A lovely blossom
in full bloom
heat scorching
the petals
lets go of the stem
graduallY
slipping away
a true love once
flourished
in the passion
of the sun
cools with the
evening breeze
emotions
slipping away.
