No face to save
It did cost me dearly with no face to save
I was so sure of success and tired to be brave
But it was backfired and I had to bite the dust
Friends not only blamed me but doubted the trust
I was very much of reserved nature and preferred to be alone
It was resented by friend circle and did not like by any one
They would dropp in anytime and pass on the crude joke
They will not miss any golden chance to tease and poke
I liked their behavior but objected many times
They will be in search and wait for opportune time
Strike at the weak point and disturb the nerve
I resented the manner in which the blows were served
It is good moment to have funny exchanges
Pull down the image and still confidently manage
It is happy occasion when we are together
Celebrate it to the fullest joy when decide to gather
All said and done but I found it not to the good test
They were doing it with ulterior motives and in bad taste
I sensed the trouble in acceding to the blackmail
But was helpless as I was unable to find the tail
They will form a group and expose me all of sudden
Everybody may enjoy at my helplessness and cut jokes even
I will demonstrate no reprisal and surrender
This was giving them upper hand but sending me to ponder
I took one friend by surprise in good gathering
I chose some words and hurled at him for sharing
He took it ill and left the scene in huff
They all thought I did mischief as time was not opportune to laugh
I had struck at the best of time to give them realization
Friendship is alright but not at the cost of bad relation
We can’t cut sorry figure at all the times
As days can be turned against us at any time
I had no occasion to rejoice at but laughed at result
It was an appropriate rejoinder to an insult
The weapon can’t be double sided to deliver the blow
It must have all the desired elements at one go
