The end came too suddenly

The end came too suddenly
and all the joy that bubbles from you
was suddenly dumb, like a thunderstorm
that emerges with sudden doom
with a lightning bolt that crackles down.

Like that you lay stretched out on the tar road,
like a flower of which the petals
are pressed flat

and the glassiness of your bright blue eyes
was without life, soulless and dead
and blood stained the tar red
and at times the you and I
still lives in me
as if your love
can never come to an end.
