Far too lovely you are, in mortality
bound to life, as woman in the fullest sense,
yet under the burden of death's finality,
still love blooms with a power that is intense
even when in its fullest strength mere destiny
makes human effort to some incompetence,
in this late summer of our lives we are free
from every dark stark lifeless consequence.
