Along Way Home
He learned his way back home
Where there is blood in the sky
The dirt road clings in the dark
And it lies again at sunrise
The river esses in the valley
The rice and corn in subtlety
Dearing the world of possibility
For daughters or sons to reach
The longings of a man and wife
Toiling the ground for a living
For such sweat is nothing but pride
When a child leaves for degree to hold
Life herein their dreams shuttered
By the sun from dawn to dusk
Shielding their pains of dearth
If no land to sow for a living
Yet, what difference does it makes
Life in the city with all the strife
To be in one's shoes if no job
Pushing a cart with all the junks
"Dad! " a young lad looks up the man
Then into the depth of pale blue sky
Wherein a dream lies once again
Just exactly where it all begun!
Life is full of promises but we only acquire of what is for us from God. The strife to bear upon challenge after challenge, test after test, we can only gather our strength one at the time to survive.
